In partnership with CAP Agency-Esperanza and Sanneh Foundation, South Metro Vineyard/La Viña Burnsville is hosting free pop-up food distributions. The food is currently being sourced through Second Harvest Heartland.
How are distributions done?
The distribution is a drive-thru. You will remain in your car the entire time, and we will load the food into your vehicle. The distribution is first come, first serve until we run out of food.
Also, distributions are weather dependent since they primarily take place outdoors. If the temperature is below 15 degrees, there will typically be no distribution. Additionally, if other inclement weather is forecasted, there may be no distribution. While we update this page often, check the La Viña Facebook page for the most recent updates.
How do I donate food or money?
We accept donations of dry goods (listed below), which can be dropped off at the church on Sundays between 1 pm-3 pm or Mondays between 11 am-1 pm.
Items requested: beans, rice, peanut butter, canned goods, cereal, and boxed meals like macaroni and cheese, etc. Additionally, you can make monetary donations to Second Harvest Heartland.
How do I volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering, we start preparing for the distribution at approximately 1:30 pm and finish around 7:30 pm. Feel free to volunteer for as much time as you have available and dress for the weather, as the packaging and distribution are done outdoors.
